"Everybody walk the dinosaur"

Lol so there's a new fad diet called "the cavenman diet" or paleo diet. It's quite interesting. In this diet, you pretty much get rid of all grains and dairy because our bodies supposedly never really developed to process grains in large quantities. Which is why high grain diets are bad for most people. But this diet stresses that you eat a lot of meats (grass fed only) and veggies and fruits. I kind of like this. Neither Kat, nor I can handle too much bread. And poor kat can't drink milk really. Most diets offer up only one way to eat and tend to restrict calories while adding more of other stuff. All well and good if your an exercise nut and wanna get down with your gym self. Not so great for those of us who are lazy or self-conscious.

This diet cuts out a lot of grains....like bread....sugars....like soda. Not happy people for us who have been drinking soda since we were little. So, Kat, her family, myself, and a few friends are going to try this. BUT...here's the kicker kids! We're modifying it! =O where's a good dun dun dun when you need it right? But back on topic. Because we've all noticed differences amongst the youngsters recently. Kids are having issues with some food and such. Well, we thought about it for a bit (yes, up for my weekly nail salon, that's later) and figured out that, yes, this diet is partially right. Our ancestors didn't eat all those grains and they were healthy than we as a whole species is today. But what the difference is is that unlike most diets, we've thought about our heritage. In looking at your heredity, your also able to figure out what the main staples of their diets were. Take my case, I'm english, spanish, cuban, and irish. So that means what? Well, if you go back to before rome and the greeks, you will find that many of our ancestors were there. The food they primarily ate was what was there. So if your celtic, try eating more beef and getting rid of the grains that weren't natural for the area. Maybe look up what the seasonal veggies are. By eating with the seasons and your heritage, you may find it not to your liking. Well, then try a different approach. Maybe look up the books on paleo diet. Or...just look into your own personal history.

What kind of diet do you guys follow?
